Of the 1.3 billion gallons of used oil produced annually in the United States, less then ten percent is re-refined. Universal Lubricants is the first Group II base oil re-refinery based in the Midwest. The re-refinery produces a “green” base oil from used automotive, industrial, heavy duty, and railroad engine oil. It is used to manufacture high quality finished lubricants for a wide array of uses. The re-refinery helps preserve the environment by reusing what resources we’ve already obtained, while making the United States less dependent on outside sources.
