Universal DEXRON^® VI Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) is a next generation fluid approved for use in passenger car and light truck automatic transmissions that require a General Motors DEXRON VI or earlier generation DEXRON fluid. It is formulated to provide improved oxidation stability, shear stability, friction durability and foam resistance to help ensure long service life, better performance in extreme conditions and consistent shift performance for the life of the fluid.

Universal DEXRON VI ATF is particularly recommended for use in new GM 6-speed automatic transmissions, and is fully backwards compatible with older GM automatic transmissions. Universal DEXRON VI ATF is recommended for service fill in passenger cars and light trucks that require a GM DEXRON transmission fluid. It also may be used in industrial and mobile hydraulic systems operating over a wide temperature range.
